Swing visualization Short codes
Your swing requires your complete attention and all resources available at a given moment. The total capacity of perception is about 120 bits of information, so if we clutter the mental procesing with suboptimal instructions, we are depleting the scarce resources of the brain to flawlessly execute the swing. The basic intention is the transition from linguistic information abundant instructions to more effective kinestethic mental representations of swing, reducing the complexity of mental proccessing to the functional minimum. In this way we are able to relocate attention and free up mental resources for effective learning process.
The purpose is to reduce swing thoughts to representational system in which strong cognitive representation units (nodes) are linked to perceptual representations (e.g., kinesthetic, visual or auditory effect codes). Because they possess a spatiotemporal structure, these representations can be related directly to movements, thus shortcutting the way to complete swing mechanics awareness. This makes any additional linguistic or symbolic representations unnecessary (reduction of information).
Use them according to clien't level of knowledge and apply them continuously throghout the learning process. Start with tempo & balance and proceed to sequencing, clubface and shape of swing shortcodes.
